Hi, I'm Darrell. I built this website with Webflow in order to display some of my digital designs.

Most of the designs shown in this portfolio are ones that I created while I was a student in the New Media Design and Web Development program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) from 2022 to 2024.

Before enrolling at BCIT I had a lengthy career in Hospitality as a bartender. From this I gained many valuable soft skills such as the ability to multitask in fast-paced working conditions and how to effectively communicate with co-workers and members of the public.

My appreciation of design and aesthetics goes back many years. I first became enchanted with visual creativity through photography. Through photography I developed an interest in Photoshop which in turn inspired me to begin learning Web Design and Graphic Design. Desiring to go beyond prepared templates, I also taught myself  the fundamentals of Web Development.
