graphic design projects

The designs that are showcased here are mostly works that I created during my time as a student in the New Media Design and Web Development program at BCIT. Some of the projects I worked on during this time were group efforts with other students. However, all of the designs shown in this portfolio are my own.

Project 01: branding for a new alcoholic drinks company

These designs stem from a group project I worked on with other students in my program at BCIT. We all assumed the role of employees at a fictional Vancouver design agency called "Lemongrass" that was hired to help launch a new line of canned beer and wine cocktails in the local market. I was one of the Graphic Designers in the project.

Project 02: Designing a print magazine

For a course in Adobe InDesign students in the New Media Design program at BCIT were tasked with designing a layout of several pages of a printed magazine. We were given free rein to choose any type of magazine we wished. Due to my love of travel and photography I decided to design a travel magazine and use my own photos.

Project 03: branding a new online travel booking company

These designs are from a project I worked on with two other BCIT students. I designed some website pages for a fictional travel company along with a logo and a mock Visa credit card.

Project 04: advertising campaign for a camera company

This was another project I worked on as a student at BCIT. I worked on my own in this assignment. Students were told to use Adobe InDesign and Illustrator to create a logo, a three-fold brochure, and a poster as advertisements for any fictional company of our choosing.

Due to my love of photography, and because of the recent revival of interest in film photography, I chose to develop an advertising effort for a retro-style film camera called Voyager.

motion  graphics

This small collection of videos were ones that I made using Adobe After Effects. My sole purpose for making these videos was simply to get more experience with Motion Design and Motion Graphics.

Interactive 3D Design

Since finishing making this Webflow portfolio site I discovered no-code WebGL animations with Unicorn Studio. This allows designers to harness 3D interactive videos for the web without needing to know how to write the complex code that drives this technology.
